Dan is a dedicated father and husband, a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, and a hardworking businessman who built a career out of helping small companies across the region meet their energy needs.

He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1969, and earned a B.A. in Business and Finance at UMass Amherst.

Since then, Dan has been deeply committed to and involved in public service. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years, and later focused on working for the community as Pittsfield’s Director of Administration and Finance and as a five-term City Councilor representing Ward 6. As a City Councilor, he was the Chair of the Public Health and Safety Committee. He has also served as a member of the West Side Initiative Steering Committee, his Democratic Ward Committee, and the St. Mark Parish Council, and was President of the Pittsfield Kiwanis Club.

The Bianchi Family

Theresa Bianchi, formerly Theresa Harrison, served on the Pittsfield Council on Aging for over 30 years.

Dan and Theresa have three lovely children, Ben, Matt, and Madeline.
